Five Elements Shapes
The Five Elements are Metal, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth. Each element is associated with a shape.
The element fire is associated with a triangle while the element Wood is long and narrow like the trunk of a tree. The element metal is rounded while the element earth is square. Finally water is wavy.
In form school Feng Shui, landform features such as mountains and rivers are associated with an element based on their shapes. A sharp pointed triangle shaped mountain has the element fire, a rounded top is metal and so on as shown in the diagram below.

The shapes of mountains in the vicinity of your home can have a positive or negative effect on you. For example in the San He or Three Harmony system, there are specific rule regarding the shape of mountains and their location relative to your house.
Similarly, segments of rivers are also classified by elements depending on their shapes as shown in the diagram below.
